Ars ZGUfA was born in 1958 in Gostivar, Macedonia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and graduated in 1997. During the years 2013, painting became his main mode of work. Fascinated by certain emblematic figures like Dali, he performs an intense exercise of concentration to embody these figures in order to better represent them. This study of projection gives him access to very specific emotions that fuel creativity. Follower of the abstract expressionism of De Kooning, influenced by Lucian Freud and Francis Bacon, his work approaches figuration. He often composes his work frantically, for long, concentrated periods. The chromatic unity is evident in his work, there are continuous touches of light and bright colors: green, pink, purple, yellow.
Zgufa's painting is full of life. His universe astonishes and surprises us thanks to the liveliness of the movements, the colors and the strength inherent in each of the works.
