The Jacques Ardies gallery presents a collection of drawings in black and white (Indian ink) and some in color (gouache) by the artist Zica Bérgami who lived from 1913 to 2010.
This great lady never took a course in fine arts but felt an essential need to release her sensitivity through painting. These drawings show an endearing personality capable of creating new and original compositions inspired by the urban life of São Paulo. The drawings are dated from 1997 to 2009.
She was also very successful when she showed off her talents as a music composer and some of her songs became very famous. The best known is "The Gas Lamp" sung brilliantly by Inezita Barroso.
Probably one of the most important Brazilian designers of all time.
