Pol Batista

Pol Batista draws his inspiration from the City of Light, from the strong, galvanizing nature that surrounds him on a daily basis, and from his colorful, joyful childhood. He uses painting to express his emotions and soften the contours of a sometimes harsh world, telling stories that are often childlike and expressive.

He paints instinctively, almost as an impulse, and lets the colors take over. His paintings are sometimes abstract, reminiscent of a carefree spirit, and he doesn't hesitate to combine different techniques and materials (wax, tar, mortar, lime, etc.) that have their own language and complement each other.
