Annie Vigarello

Mon travail s'effectue depuis une quinzaine d'années. Il est essentiellement centré sur la couleur et sur l'espace, travaillés l'un et l'autre avec la peinture à l'huile.

A requirement has imposed itself over time: to confront everyone with the abyss, with infinity, with limitless universes. It is in such a perspective that color takes on its full meaning, offering a thousand possible shapes and hues to perspectives and horizons. A few collages sometimes come to decorate the whole, tiny against points of the largest spaces. The characters then become thin silhouettes, finely restored, but lost in sets that overwhelm them, all confirming the "smallness" of the human, even the disarray in the face of immensity. Finite and infinite oppose each other, surface and depth drift apart endlessly.

This work was also carried out with a group of artists meeting regularly in an associative space and regularly performing collective exhibitions (Belleville, Ménilmontant). I have also exhibited my works in the Grande Galerie of the University of Paris 1 at the Panthéon in 2013, at the Grand Marché d'Art Contemporain at the Bastille, in 2015, and at the Espace Beaurepaire, in 2016 and 2019.
