Born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1964, a Beaux-Arts graduate in 1989, Frédéric Castaldi has been exhibiting his works mainly in France and Germany. His works are part of collections such as those of FRAC Auvergne and the Saint-Quentin museum.
Frédéric Castaldi paints and draws nudes. He unveils the nude withour the constraints of the body: the flesh is depicted in the sun, the wind, in immemorial landscapes. The fantastic aspect of his work make reference to Magritte's conceptual tricks or to the dreamlike atmosphere of Delvaux.
