Jean-Jacques André lives and works in Fontaine / Grenoble.
DNSEP graduate from the National School of Fine Arts in Saint-Etienne. Due to its material and the creative process that begins in the street (tearing, laceration, tear) his artistic work is identified as Street Art.
"The poster allows me a great freedom of composition by the technique of collage and take off. I have always been close to the sensitivity of the New Realists and Pop Art, popular art in the noble sense, and artistic transcendence of the real, of matter and signs that run through our lives.
My first large collages from 1990 were minimalist, close to colorful musical compositions.
My new creations are deeper, loaded with stories of sensations, impressions that cross me. I have an intuitive and sensitive, almost shamanic approach to the creative act. I explore the strata of time, I dive into the memory of beings and cities.
The theme of tearing remains my favorite theme. My poster collage techniques have been enriched by other mixed techniques. "
