There are two hearts of photographers beating in me. One is that of the photographer specializing in corporate communication. For more than twenty years, I have been photographing for the most diverse companies. Always with the aim of translating into photos the identity that the company in question wants to give itself, in the literal sense of the term: its image.

The other fights for free work with the camera. This requires a different approach. We can certainly play without constraint, but we do not have any safeguards either. The challenge here is to stay in context and continue the work in a coherent way. My free works generally deal with the aesthetics of everyday life. The profane can be beautiful, irritating, make people laugh. Everything is possible.

In commissioned photography, I often put the subjects on stage. In the free works, it's different: the pattern is as it is when we found it. Sometimes we are also lucky and it falls on us. After having photographed the subject, I move on to another approach to the image, that on the computer. I use image processing to emphasize the atmosphere, the aesthetics of the motif. It's a bit like painting with colors and playing with contrasts. This process that leads to the final image still fascinates me!
