Lutfi Romhein is a sculptor born in Kraia, Syria, in 1954. After his studies, he opened his own workshop in Damascus, making his sculptures in stone, wood and doing many exhibitions. In 1981, he obtained a scholarship from the Italian consul, which enabled him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, a major place in marble sculpture.
Recognized as one of the best sculptors in Syria and the Middle East, he also enjoys significant recognition in Italy from the artistic world.
Established in France since the mid-2000s, it demonstrates an astonishing diversity both in the materials used and the techniques mastered as well as in the artistic styles approached.
