Born in 1974, in Rouen, Sebastien has lived in Morbihan since the 2000s. It was as an autodidact that he started painting a few years ago. It has always been essential for Sebastien to bring emotions to life in others. It was initially through his job as a cook that he could produce this effect. After turning the page on professional cooking, he felt a visceral need to paint, regardless of the codes and the history of the plastic arts, he had to get started.
The approach of his work is to allow everyone to have his emotions, whether positive or negative, by assuming them without anyone directing the interpretation and the feeling experienced at this moment by claiming to know what is beautiful or not, fair or not. The pictorial and abstract snapshots that Sebastien paints reveal the emotions he feels and reflect his vision of the current world.
Color dripping is a work started in 2019 which continues to evolve over time.
