Ellie Sass (Sassayiannis)

Ellie Sass was born in Athens (Greece) in 1973. She studied French Literature, Theatre, Fine Arts and Photography. 

She has lived in Monaco and in Greece.  

She speaks Greek, French and English.   

Today Ellie Sass works mainly as a fine art photographer/visual artist in Greece. She is also a French teacher, and she is interested in acting and in writing.  

She focuses on portrait, theatre, street and nature photography and works on narrative and experimental photography or photo expressionism. 

She creates black and white aesthetics in experimental photography, with harsh contrasts of shadows and light and a tendency to noir and abstract minimalism.  In 2022 she was recognized  by the gallery 'LoosenArt' in the exhibition ‘Experimenta. The Other Photography’ (Rome, Italy).  

Ellie Sass has participated in multiple visual art exhibitions. She has distinguished herself in many competitions and her work has been exhibited in Greece and in Europe. 

At this moment the main axis of her work is spirituality, expressionism and narrative photography. She studies the human soul journey ‘From Darkness To Light’ through visual art photography series and digital photo collages or mixed media artworks. 

Her faith in Jesus Christ gives her motivation to create artistically and to fulfil her purpose in life.
