Presentation

Amandine Guruceaga was born in Toulouse before moving to Marseille where she co-directs the artist run space TANK.

In her works, Amandine Guruceaga works the materials until exhaustion. The artist began by working with wax, then faded fabrics, translucent leathers, burnt metal blades. Amandine Guruceaga's sculptures are the result of alchemy in search of limit states of ordinary materials.

She has presented her works at the Quadrum gallery in Lisbon, at the Villa Arson as part of RUN RUN RUN, and at Mains d'Œuvres in Saint-Ouen. In 2018, during her solo show at the Montéverita gallery, she presented the culmination of her research on leather developed during her residency at LVMH Métiers d’Art and more recently during the Révelations Emerige and the Salon Montrouge.
