Christian Nesler is a multitalented artist born in France in 1949. He lives and works on the Ile de Ré.
Fascinated by the Atlantic coast and the objects brought by the ocean, he salvages these objects that become the material of his works. He uses a chainsaw or a laser cutter to create squares, that become in his works "pixels of the sea". Through this process, his oceanic abstract compositions are born.
Christian Nesler gives these forgotten materials life and movement. Mixing materials and colors, he recreates the ocea atmosphere in his mosaics. For Christian Nesler, the ocean is an infinite source of inspiration.
