

Biography
A painter, performer and street artist, Zapata's artistic production started in the early 90s and his rise to fame started in the beginning of the 2000s. He uses all sorts of techniques and different mediums to create and addresses a broad range of subjects such as music and cinema.
He practices mostly street art, but it is most of all his performances in the form of live painting that makes him stand out. He has been invited to open the shows of numerous personalities of the music such as Alain Bashung, Zazie and Julliette Gréco.
Rénald Zapata's pieces are regularly exhibited and are present in numerous private collections in France and abroad. His first group exhibition took place in 1995 and his first solo exhibition in 1996 for the Festval L'Estival (Saint-Germain-en-Laye).
