Art is an expression of life. Wherever there is life, there is also art, because life always expresses itself through forms, shapes and colors in certain rules of harmony that later being acknowledge by human as art. So art is not the invention of human mind, it is just the way that life expresses itself. 

Some may think that human mind creates a work of art, but actually, human mind cannot create or even imagine a work of art out of nothingness. Human mind can only learn about the principles of art by observing the expressions of life in nature and then with his creativity, remold his acquired knowledge or impression into a “new" expression. But whatever art that human creates, in the end of the day, it is just the way that life expresses itself through him. 

It may sound ridiculous, but it is what it is. The life that expresses itself through a spider is the same life that expresses itself through Rembrandt. One weaves a silky web; the other paints a portrait. 

Ikrano believed that all the knowledge, skills and insights that he has gathered can only become art when life expresses itself through them. The reason why a work of art can bring people together is because people can feel that particular work is an expression of life. 

So for Ikrano, it is only a matter of growing consistently and persistently so that life may express itself in its fuller spectrum of expressions. 

Ikrano is a self-taught artist from the very basic skill of painting. But one thing he discovered, the more he can be involved in the expression of life, the less dependent he is to the know-how, like a spider that weaves its web without ever learning.
