Sonya Radeva was born in 1994 in Silistra, Bulgaria. She graduates her master degree in 2019 at the National Academy of Fine Art with a degree in 'Metal Arts'.
She has participated in over almost 30 group exhibitions, as well as several international symposiums.
Most often her works are inspired by the states of her mind, the emotions that shake her really strong.
Working with metal gives her the opportunity to express herself to the viewer, as well as her imagination to herself. She expresses the emotion on the metal works very well.
Working mainly with geometric shapes which she skillfully deforms and creates good abstract compositions, she manages to recreate the feeling of flexibility and elasticity in the otherwise hard material.
Nowadays she creates sculptures mainly from iron. Her most commonly used techniques are cutting, welding and bending. She also has works of brass, wood and stone.
