Yannick Martin WHA-T

Yannick Martin is a Visual & Street Artist. He lives in Marseille. His work, influenced by architecture and graphic design (disciplines he previously practiced), also reveals references to graffiti, painting and contemporary art. His frescoes, always playful, are as much enigmatic hieroglyphs as imaginary alphabets. We could speak here of a permanent story. His work questions our language and our perception.

Expressionist, symbolist, he is made of signs, shapes and structures that are sometimes abstract, figurative or even pictographic.

Each of his creations offers an event, an encounter, a dialogue, between the place where they are made, the artist and the observer. His immediately recognizable work is present today in many places in Marseille, France, but also abroad, whether in the form of frescoes in public spaces or paintings and prints in galleries.
