Krees

Krees was born on August 19, 1968 in Malo-les-Bains near Dunkirk. From an early age, she was introduced to different techniques and styles of drawings and paintings. In 1995, she joined her family of Flemish origin in Bordeaux. She followed a university course in business management in Lille then returned to Bordeaux. Her pencil never leaves her. His very first public experience was the insertion of his drawings, in 2001, in a satirical Bordeaux newspaper “Nouvelle Vague”. She works alongside the designer Barros. In 2016, she was spotted on social networks by an artist who offered to participate in an exhibition bringing together 50 artists. This will be his first collective painting exhibition. Everything follows very quickly then. Krees sees his painting as the transcendence of being. The philosophy of his artistic practice is expressed in his maxim: "to paint is to speak of our humanity". A colorful, interrogative, introspective… living humanity. Thus, the colors, the unstructured shapes, the eyes and even often the "3rd eye" symbolizing for her, the spiritual path, make her works a reminder of the surrealism and cubism styles of certain great masters.
