The works of young artist Julia Endres reflect the illusion of beauty and seduction. The erotic attraction and the interhuman discourse between man and woman are the main themes of his work. Whether in her collages, oil paintings or sculptures, she always rephotographs this exchange game that she redefines each time. The most significant in his work is precision. Selective collage is the basis of the works. It represents the key to other work that will result. His new style, magnetism, is therefore only the logical consequence. Feminine attributes such as “the fluttering of the eyelashes” or “the seductive smile” are motifs, which we find each time redefined in her works. They represent examples for the playful reflection of femininity. The imagination of the beholder is thus stimulated. We encourage him to dive into different situations and interpret them in different ways. The poetic titles of the images, each of which is attributed to a specific series, give indications on the illusion of beauty, seduction as well as the discourse between man and woman. With his first series “Kopffüler“, the artist plunged into the world of fables. The cephalopod is a character from medieval fables who served as a protector at the doors of houses. A function which plays a primordial role in the works of the artist. We find the cephalopod very often in children's drawings. This is also how children learn to draw men. By analogy to his works, the artist likes to combine in his titles words from different languages and more particularly from English, French and German. The Grill, called Kopffüler in German, is the male character who gave name to the first series. This series consists of 30 collages, 6 oil paintings and a marble sculpture. The marble sculpture entitled “Weltenbummler“ (in French globetrotter) is another character found in the second series Lippenbein “(leg of lips).
