Thor Rafnsson

My name is Thor Rafnsson, born in Reykjavik, Iceland. I live and work in Denmark. Above all else visual arts have always been a great interest of mine. I received my education at The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts. Iceland is my inspiration, my home land has given me an absorbed personal development. My years in Iceland have given me a lot of inspiration and still do when I go home on vacation. The great contrasts, the beautiful language and the harsh and harsh nature appeal to me, which is reflected in my pictures. I see my self as an very grounded in myself as an artist and know what i want to give and know what i want to express with my art but sometimes i find myself in a crossroads of where to go from and in what direction i want to take my art so i have always been very keen to experiment with my art.
