Wataru Yamakami is a multidisciplinary artist: he expresses himself through painting, drawing, installation and sculpture. Deeply marked by the disasters that have ravaged Japan - in particular, the earthquake, tsunami and the Fukushima nuclear disaster of March 2011 which hit Tohoku, very close to Nagano - and also by its many trips to North America. South and Southeast Asia - during which he is interested in shamanism - he creates a work between mirage and reality.
