Leo van den Ende (1939) paints with an impressionistic touch. His father was a well-known painter and his great example and teacher. Later he learned the intricacies of Lex Rosemeier, the last exponent of 'the Leiden School'.
Leo became internationally known as the painter of the largest flower panorama in the world.
Starting in 1997 the 63 meter long and 4 meter high Panorama of the Bulb Region near Amsterdam took 11 years to be completed. This impressive canvas was admired annually by many thousands of visitors from home and abroad. This achievement made Leo van den Ende's work internationally known.
In addition to the flower bulb landscapes known by him, this 'masterful impressionist' paints cityscapes and flower still lifes.
His paintings are included in permanent collections of 10 national- and international museums.
