Martinho dias was born in 1968 in Trofa, Portugal, where he lives and works. He is a Master in Plastic Arts - Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
He exhibits regularly since 1999, having taken part in numerous exhibitions in Portugal, as well as in Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Colombia, Brasil and India.
His work has been awarded in several occasions, namely: Silver Award, ArtMajeur (2010); 1st Prize „Body in Expression, Servartes Space, Porto (2007); Honorary Mention, II Painting Biennial of Penafiel (2002); Honorary Mention, I Painting Biennial of Penafiel (2000). In 2012 he was awarded the medal of Cultural Merit of the Municipality of Trofa, Portugal.
