Outstanding artist with more than 40 years of experience who has created a very particular plastic world using different techniques. He usually uses oil and acrylic yet he is very well known for his incursions into graphic work, being one of the exponents of contemporary engraving.
His sublime professional career starts in the best art Schools such as Madrid School of Applied Arts or Spanish Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and takes place globally exhibiting solo and collectively in Galleries and important museums like "Reina Sofía National Museum" in Madrid. He's also worked with popular Ateliers in Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, China, USA,... and taught engraving courses.
Winner of countless awards such as the XXXI BMW painting competition given by the former Queen of Spain taking the first place he has collaborated with public figures like Kerry Kennedy, Queen Rania of Jordan, Hilary Clinton, Karolina Kurkova, Shakira,... at the Women Together Awards in New York.
Villarino has always been linked to culture founding the Art Magazine CYAN, "M plus M Ediciones", the engraving and poetry magazine "Estacion Central" and the "Estacion Central Gallery". Being the co-founder of CRUCE, Centro de Arte y Pensamiento and of "El Jacalito", Centre for Art Research, he currently directs the Spanish Graphic Art Center.
