Born in 1962 in Kent, England, Paul Gilbert started out as an artist and became a self-taught artist. He exhibited his first works in Normandy until 1990 and received several grants from renowned artists in Great Britain. From this support, he will work a lot on the technique of etching and adapt this new practice on models to which he will continuously be inspired during his life: nature, flowers, landscapes of England and France.
