Raised in Wilmette (as suburb of Chicago)Illinois. Elias is a lyrical abstract artist, writer and poet, interweaving these worlds within his paintings. He is highly engaged in utilizing raw materials, making paint and working often on linen.
The artist incorporates humor as a stint and abstraction as a vessel to hold an interior landscape. Thematically his interests lay in the interstitial space. Uncovering ancient Spiritual locations are recurring themes within his works.
Elias works daily from his studio at the Brewery Arts Complex in Los Angeles and he exhibits regularly in Los Angeles, as well as in Europe. His work is collected by RAND Corporation, featured at TED.com Kohler Home for the Future, and purchased by the President of Iceland,Gudni Johannenson.
