Born in 1957, Matthew Dibble is an American artist. Dibble graduated from Cooper School of the Arts in 1978, however he spent more than three decades working in construction before committing himself to art.
Utilizing a Modernist approach to painting, Dibble draws inspiration from influential artistic figures such as Willem de Kooning and Francis Bacon. Dibble's dynamic canvases simultaneously explore figuration and abstraction, often incorporating narratives of ancient mythology.
Dibble's paintings have been exhibited across the United States with recurring exhibitions in New York and Cleveland.
