Biography
Tiven - Soul PainterThe painter and artist Tiven was born in 1973 in France, in Paris. She enrolled at the university and studied psychology after graduating from high school, but attended evening classes at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Doubtful about her orientation once her degree has passed, she decides to go to the West Indies and will live 3 years in Guadeloupe. This experience will gradually forge his art. This is how she will open herself to naive art and master colours. She thus creates a true style, powerful and raw, and will define her artistic style.
Tiven has a taste for travel and will continue his journey. The encounters that scatter these years will make her passionate about faces and forms of posture leading her to make many portraits. Upon her return to France, she will continue her career in an advertising group for 6 years. Always keeping one foot in the art world, she exhibits each year at the Salon des artistes indépendants. In 2003 Tiven decided again to change his life and left for Morocco. On site, she turned to design and made interior furniture. His painting practice weakened for a while, but would come back more beautifully later.
A significant period of her life will force her to question herself, she will then work a lot on her portraits and will combine face and message in the power of her looks and her raw and instinctive line. His faces question us about ourselves, but also about the other. They are the support for life stories, buried feelings and always make us wonder if they are real. Today she accepts the gift that was given to her as a child, to see beyond the appearance, to converse with the souls she meets through all the people who cross her path. She then has a feeling, a footprint, a warmth, a colour and all the beauty of the beings she meets and that is what she puts in her painting.
Tiven is now fortunate to collaborate with some very fine brands including the famous luxury candle brand BAOBAB and to exhibit in various cities including Cassablanca, Marachech, Tangier, Paris, NY, Brussels.
