Silvano

Silvano is a French painter born in the Northern neighborhoods of Marseille. He had a difficult childhood, and painting was like an escape for him. He currently lives and works in le Var, Pradet.

Silvano's whole work is explained with a sentence: "From contradiction comes progress". The artist draws his inspiration from his trips, his doubts and his joys. His painting is instinctive, natural and committed. Against political dissappointments and the sufferings of Western society, Silvano paints fiercely. His brushstrokes are raw, sometimes violent, and turns out to be the best weapon of protest and indignation.
Colors play a main role in Silvano's work, who creates contrasts from his combinations, which are primordial in his quest for contradiction. He uses different materials which he superimposes tirelessly,and on which he imprints his graffiti.
