Francia Craineguy dite Mona

France

Biography

I am a nature lover. A lover of my native continent: South America. And more particularly from Colombia, my country of birth, and from Argentina, where I grew up. This is where I draw my inspiration.

My name is Francia Craineguy "Mona" and I am a self-taught Franco-Colombian painter. My style: abstract, geometric, highlighted by pure colors.

Thanks to the South American, French, Spanish and African blood that runs through my veins, this multiculturalism that inhabits me translates into the passion I have for culture and art in all its forms. After many backpacking trips across my native continent, and elsewhere, I landed in France, the homeland of my paternal grandfather, nearly twenty-five years ago. Graphic designer by profession, guided by a spiritual as well as sensory evolution, passionate about life, I grew up while continuing to seek myself. Twenty years passed before I found myself again. Looking back, I realize that, without a doubt, this incompressible time was necessary, even life-saving, to allow sleeping emotions to wake up and leave their mark on a blank canvas.

One day I drew charcoal sketches. And I never stopped again.

Four years ago, encouraged by my husband and my relatives, I started creating in acrylic, in all its forms. Simply carried by my desire of the moment.
