Born in the lot et Garonne, attached to Bordeaux and now living in Angers, her artistic experience of almost 30 years is nourished by numerous apprenticeships, exchanges and encounters. Ghislaine Ferreira is in line with the expressionist movement. His portraits reflect the inner mirror of man. Under a humanist gaze, she dissects others in all their depth. She baptizes this process “the human triangular”. Jean-Claude Ferreira explains "we all exist through 3 dimensions: the intimate being, the image being, the perceived being... Ghislaine subtly plays with this triangulation and adds the possibility for the viewer to stick their own complexity, their own triangulation when he stops in front of a canvas. Beyond appearances, his portraits sign a pact of sincerity and sensitivity. The artist raises complexity and fragility, without watering down the hope of an ever-changing future. His oblique gaze on the individual mixes flaws, weaknesses with delicacy. Ghislaine Ferreira leaves a lively and spontaneous line through the practice of watercolor. Subtly composed, the inequality of his features mimics the awkwardness of the characters. And sometimes, the sketched chance turns into plastic grace. A grace captured by the viewer through a dialogue between the model's gaze and his own. Dialogue awakens unsuspected doubts. Emotion is born of this encounter and this meditation on life.
