Biography
Fabiola Alcapia Peña (Faby) is a Chilean artist originally from Valparaíso. She currently lives in Miami, is married, and the mother of two wonderful daughters.
From an early age, she showed a curious and restless spirit, which led her to explore various forms of artistic expression such as dance, music, writing, and poetry. She began her creative journey by self-taught restoration and painting of antique furniture, until she discovered in painting on paper and canvas a new form of expression, one that marked the beginning of an irreversible journey toward her true passion.
Her personal story, her surroundings, and a deep connection with nature are her main sources of inspiration. Her work is characterized by bold use of color and texture, with a focus on creating abstract compositions that allow her to flow intuitively and freely. She uses mixed media, primarily acrylics and oils, to build complex layers that invite the viewer to experience a unique sensory journey.
Through her art, Fabiola seeks not only to convey beauty and emotion but also to promote art as a path to healing, self-discovery, and inner connection. Her purpose is to leave a positive mark on the world, inspiring others to explore their own creativity as a means of well-being and transformation.
