Marcel Speet

Marcel Speet (Netherlands, 1951) is a versatile contemporary artist active in various media, including paper, painting, assemblages, installations and photography. His creations result from a fusion of visual and material experiences, nature, architecture, fashion and his own history, resulting in a rich and varied artistic language.
Guided by a constant quest for artistic freedom, he studied at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1969. His artistic quest revolves around the management of confusion through material, texture and color, thus questioning the conventional dimensions. He disrupts, plays and disorganizes to discover new creative solutions, thus nourishing his artistic exploration.
His artwork can be found in private collections around the world, including New York, London, Chicago, Seoul and Rotterdam.
Currently based near Bordeaux, France, he continues to explore the limits of his artistic expression, aiming to provide a vivid and dynamic experience, playing with dynamic compositions and vibrant colors to convey a feeling of energy and vitality .
