Gizi is a survivor turned exile.
His paintings reflect nostalgia for his lost land and all his family belongings. In Gizi's works, neither hatred nor resentment is seen, because they are full of tenderness, romanticism and their characteristic naive touch.
Animals and people appear in his works who speak to us through expressive glances.
