Gabriela Madrazo

Self-taught, originally from Guadalajara, Mexico. She is interested in exploring the material, in experimenting with the overlapping of amorphous plasters of color and matter that result in compositions between harmony and space.

She uses intuition as the only essential material, her training as an interior designer and communication specialist, as well as her experience as a children's muralist and her mastery of different techniques such as ceramics, acrylic, oil and watercolor, allow her to jump freely between techniques , formats, scales, and materials, opening his work to an infinite world of possibilities and directions.

Without any intellectual or communicative pretension, she seeks through her work to escape to a world of complete calm and tranquility, where her creations exist and mean by themselves. This exploration results in compositions that break with the "mainstream" (which tends to over-intellectualize art, from its origin and essence), with the aim of linking with the viewer from a natural and disinterested space, in which the stimulation of the senses, through the experience of his pieces in relation to a space, provokes diverse sensations that are free to interpretation.
