Mickey Jampijinpa Singleton is an Australian aboriginal painter born in 1950 in Mount Doreen, southeast of the Northern Territory in Australia. Today, he lives and works in Yuendumu, a community of artists located 300 km from Alice Springs.
Mickey Jampijinpa Singleton draws his inspiration from the history of his native country and his people. He paints "Dreamings" inherited dreams from his ancestors that tell stories of creation, transmitted from generation to generation.
The style of Mickey Jampijinpa Singleton is inspired by traditional aboriginal iconography including its circular and straight motifs representing the "Ngawarra" (flood waters).
He has exhibited his work at the Australian Art Gallery Trib'Art in Lyon (France).
