Presentación
Christa David es artista visual, escritora e investigadora. Inspirada por las obras artísticas de Romare Bearden, Wangechi Mutu, Alma Woodsey Thomas y las obras literarias de James Baldwin, Christa David fusiona los medios de la pintura, el collage y el ensamblaje para crear y recrear historias sobre el hogar, la pertenencia, la fe y la identidad. En septiembre de 2016, tras años de "hacer arte en las grietas" (noches y fines de semana) junto a su exigente trabajo como investigadora principal de salud pública en la ciudad de Nueva York, Christa David dio el salto a hacer arte a tiempo completo. Christa David se siente orgullosa de haber sido León de la Universidad de Columbia en dos ocasiones, con una licenciatura y un máster de la misma. Su obra se encuentra en colecciones personales y públicas de todo Estados Unidos, incluido el destacado Centro David C. Driskell, y ha sido expuesta recientemente en la Feria AAKA de París, Francia, y en la Feria de Arte PRIZM de Art Basel en Miami Beach. Christa David vive y trabaja actualmente entre Nueva York y Atlanta.
