Antoine Renault is a French painter born in 1963 in Nantes. He has been painting for 25 years and is best known for his surprisingly realistic depiction of water. Its theme is the invincible summer: those magical days at the edge of the ocean which should never end… Sensation of tranquil happiness, the warmth of the sand, the attraction of water, and the freedom that the sea offers to loss of sight. Inspiration comes from his two favorite islands: Noirmoutier and Amorgos. His technique constantly plays on the borderline of realism: from a distance, the painting seems to be a photo and when we get closer to the canvas, the abstract brushstrokes give way to the imagination. His work has been published in numerous magazines. His works are present in private and corporate collections around the world.
