Presentation
Enki Bilal was born in Yugoslavia in 1951. His childhood in Belgrade during Tito's reign has been decisive for the graphic tone and geopolitical themes he'll elaborate during his collaborations (especially with Pierre Christin), or alone later on.
The Nikopol Trilogy which is considered as a work of reference, humorously handles the absurd obsession of human beings and Gods for power.
Enki Bilal is also the author of three films, the last one being Immortel Ad Vitam, is a free "dismantling" of the Nikopol Trilogy (the last one, Immortel Ad Vitam, being a free "dismantling" of the Nikopol Trilogy). Froid Equateur was voted the best book of the year in 1993 by Magazine Lire.
