Fantástica puesta en escena

Cuando René Magritte pintó El hijo del hombre en 1964, dijo al respecto: "Todo lo que vemos esconde algo más, siempre queremos ver lo que esconde lo que vemos. Hay un interés por lo que está oculto y lo que lo visible no nos muestra".

El cuadro muestra a un hombre con bombín y abrigo de pie frente a un muro bajo, detrás del cual el horizonte del mar se encuentra con un cielo nublado, pero su rostro queda en gran parte oculto por una manzana verde flotante. Sabemos que su cara está ahí, podemos ver sus ojos asomando por encima de la manzana, pero ¿qué aspecto tiene? Y lo que es más importante, ¿realmente necesitamos saberlo? El interés por lo que no nos muestra lo visible puede, por tanto, ser expresado por artistas que presentan su obra en un marco fantástico o conceptual. En la selección de escenarios fantásticos de Artsper, Javier Rey explora las posibilidades de la escultura y las estructuras físicas. Ben Goossens (BEL), por su parte, está influenciado por el surrealismo y se le ha llamado el Dalí o el Magritte de la fotografía, combinando una intensa sensibilidad con los sueños. A través de creaciones intemporales, la razón y el espacio, BEL pretende representar la esencia de la fantasía: lo que podemos ver, y de hecho una interpretación de lo que está oculto...
