Rosalie Ballester is a painter, born in 1949.
She inherited this fascination for typography, from her father who works in journalism.
Rosalie Ballester mainly draws inspiration from letters, writings, ancient bits and pieces for her creations. The artist claims to be influenced by Russian abstraction. Though, her art seems to be closest to the one of Jacques Villeglé.
Indeed, the two artists know each other, rub shoulders and have been exhibiting together since ten years now. Rosalie Ballester has managed to find her place with the New Realists and register her practice in the same lines of poster artists before her.
