Art gallery in Biarritz "L'oeil du prince" (The Prince's Eye) in the theater refers to the seat with the best view, traditionally held by the prince or the highest-ranking spectator. It allows one to take in the entire scene at a glance without distorting the perspective of the set. By extension, this term can be used to describe the best position for the spectator in front of a painting, without distorting the perspective. This is how Yann Deshoulières decided to present meticulously chosen works: with a common thread, an attachment to figuration, the Galerie L'Oeil du Prince exhibits paintings, sculptures, photographs, and engravings intended for collectors who, above all, let their hearts and sincerity speak for themselves, without distortion through the prism of fashion or clichés. First established in Paris next to Parc Monceau, then supported by a second establishment on Rue de l'Odéon, L'Oeil du Prince moved to Biarritz in April 2018 to be closer to the family home. More than thirty artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers) are exhibiting in this new space in the Basque Country, coming from all walks of life, but all having in common the quality of their work recognized for its solid technique and its particular sensitivity, both nationally and internationally.
