Claudia Von Boch

Biography

Born in Canada in 1957, she discovered ceramics in Argentina, where she grew up and lived for 23 years.  After a year at the Céruleum Visual Arts School in Lausanne, she earned a Bachelor Degree in ceramics from the School of Applied Arts in Vevey (1995-99).  She currently divides her time between a studio in Switzerland and a second studio in Piedmont, Italy. Her sculptures have been exhibited in Switzerland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, Croatia, the United States and Canada. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, Swiss Ceramics, Homo Faber (Michelangelo Foundation) and the Association Vaudoise des Métiers d'Art.  She took part in numerous solo and group exhibitions including the group entitled “ The Land of Silence," at Musa Pavillon during the Venice Biennale.
