Frog$kin

FROG$KIN is a Street artist who divides his time between Paris and Madrid; capitals in which we can discover his stencils.

Born in Compiègne (France) and from a working-class background, art had little place in his childhood. However, from a very young age, he often avoided boredom by faithfully reproducing the drawings that came to hand. Rather gifted in the visual arts, he took a few watercolor lessons to quickly implement the technique.

At the end of 2008, he moved to Paris. He discovered the cultural immensity of the City of Lights which became his city of heart, his source of inspiration. As Joséphine Baker, whom he particularly likes, sang so well, he likes to repeat that he has “2 loves: his country and Paris".

Art should, according to him, not only be beautiful for the eyes but be a vector of communication; this is why he does not hesitate to use art to highlight two essential values in his eyes: freedom and equality. When he is not painting in the streets, he paints on street furniture (mailboxes, street signs, etc.), old newspapers or bank notes related to the subjects of his works and to which he thus gives a second life (upcycling) by telling a new story.

His paintings are easily recognizable by the confrontation of warm and cold colors (often shades of blue and pink), highlighting the good and the bad, the strengths and weaknesses in each of us.
