Annie Madec

After studying at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs (Paris), I worked as a graphic designer and roughman in advertising agencies. Then I turned to teaching, eager to share my passion. In 1996, I created Le Nadir, an artists' association - an extension of my desire to share my knowledge and impressions. Since 1992, I've been exhibiting my work at art fairs in the Paris region and Burgundy.

Attached to reality and nature, it's first and foremost the luminous atmosphere, the importance of color and rhythm that attract my attention. So I explore landscapes, faces and the animal world with curiosity and greed. I interpret the emotions linked to these sensory walks towards a stylization, in search of textures and writing renewed according to the deep energies that run through me. Working in water-which J_L Morelle introduced me to-gives me the joy of being surprised and thrilled by the appearance or disappearance of a brushstroke. I pursue my need to experiment, like a musician, by proposing oil variations on my subjects.

I want to express the poetry of the fleeting moment, the pleasure of having experienced it, the universality of these wonderful moments...
