Biography

I'm an amateur photographer who discovered my passion for photography a few years ago. I've experimented with different forms of photography, particularly street photography, and for the last 2 years I've been travelling the coasts of Brittany and the Atlantic trying to capture, with a touch of poetry and emotion, the link between men and women and the sea.

I also took part in a workshop with Alex Webb, Magnum photographer and master of street photography, and Rebecca Norris Webb, poet-photographer, who helped me to reflect on my vision of photography and to raise my standards in this area. Exposure to this genre in the town of Saint Malo during this workshop reinforced my work in capturing spontaneous scenes imbued with truth and emotion in seaside towns.

As a result, my approach has gradually moved away from a technical quest towards an artistic approach: my images don't just tell stories, they make you feel them. And for this series of seaside photographs, I wanted to go against the grain of what technology and the photographs that invade our social networks are offering, by proposing an impressionist style of photography based on atmosphere and evocation.
