After training at Science Po Paris and a Masters in Ancient History, he taught history for six years, before devoting himself entirely to sculpture and painting, real passions developed throughout his childhood. His works are presented in Paris from 1983. In 2008, he settled in New York and thanks to the success met across the Atlantic, he obtained his green card of permanent resident in 2011. Patrick Pietropoli is a contemporary painter who is gives as object the representation of urban landscapes and street scenes, with figurative compositions and delicate nudes. He paints with attention the architecture of cities such as New York, Paris, Venice and Rome, always finding a perfect balance between freedom and form. He looks at cities with a look stripped of all convention and refuses "junk framing".
