Just Jaeckin is the pseudonym of a French artist born in 1940 in Vichy, France. He is a director and writer, known for the films Emmanuelle (1974), Gwendoline (1984) and Histoire d'O (1975). Just Jaeckin studied interior design and architecture in Paris. His father was Dutch and his mother was English.

He spent the first five years of his life living in England. He trained in 1959 as a photographer in the army during his military service. He is also a successful photographer; his photos have appeared in glossy fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Harper'ss Bazaar".
