Biography
Pierre Faure was born in 1972 in Nice and lives in Yvelines. He studied economics and for several years has devoted himself entirely to photography. He first produced a work in which abstraction and organic evocations occupied a central place (series rhizomes, folds, palimpsests); series that question the spectator's gaze and play with notions of scale and perspective.
He also addresses the social issue by undertaking an immersion work in a Gypsy community in Ile-de-France (2011-2012). In 2013, Pierre Faure was interested in the lives of people in great hardship housed in emergency shelters and tries to capture in this daily life the figures of an injured humanity. In parallel with this work, he has been pursuing a series on urban trees since 2010, questioning the place of plants in urban areas. He has been a member of the Hans Lucas studio since 2013.
