Biography
Jean-Robert Franco is a visual artist (contemporary photographer), who came to artistic work after being a photographer at the Viva agency in the 1980s.
His work was recognized from the 80s by critics and institutions: he joined the collection of the Center Pompidou in 1987. Since then Jean-Robert Franco exhibits internationally: Chicago, San-Francisco, South Korea, Beijing, St Petersburg.
His work has several dimensions, from classic photography rigorously composed (Work on the seaside and cities (Nice, Havana ...), to nude portraits, through the misappropriation of documents on childhood memory and privacy.
