Bruno Rigolle

My name is Bruno Rigolle, I was born in the city of Clermont-Ferrand (Auvergne), in 1961. My parents moved to the south of France and established themselves in the sweet town of Sète (Hérault), when I was only 5 years old. First child of a humble working-class family, losing myself in a world of fantasy was an obvious path to escape the routine without having my mother anxious ! 

I had my first emotions for painting when I discover artworks from Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock or Gerhard Richter (whose influence on my work is always strong), cause their works were just coming to worldwide fame at that time. 

I paint with a bunch of different materials (like graffiti bombs, among other secrets...), different tools, I like to experiment. 

Due to my love for another of the Major Arts, music, I like to see myself as a musician who can play piano, but can also play vibes, or drums. And I like to feel that my work can be related to the deep emotion a great piece of music can provide. I trust in the power of vibrations, frequencies, and the positive effects they can have on our soul, our feelings.
